Regulation of watercourses means arranging the bed by making embankments, walls, thresholds or lining the riverbed. The river flow is mainly diverted as part of this process, with excavations and concreting in the riverbed. The importance of these activities is reflected by ensuring the safety and protection of areas from floods and erosion. These works require mechanization and means of transport with a larger capacity, as they are mostly large-scale earthworks. The final resurfacing usually includes laying works, ie the installation of stone or concrete slabs, which requires great expertise and precision.
